24/7 GP Helpline

Call our GP helpline or log in to the Benenden Health App 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to book an appointment for a telephone or video consultation with a UK-based GP for you or your immediate family.

What's included

  • You can access our GP helpline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to book an appointment for a GP consultation by logging in to the Benenden Health App or calling the helpline.

  • Telephone GP consultations are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • Video consultations are available 8am to 10pm every day except Christmas Day and require an email address and access to an internet enabled device with a camera and microphone.

  • You can access our 24/7 GP Helpline when travelling overseas.

  • You can book a consultation for your immediate family by calling our helpline. It's not currently possible to book GP appointments for immediate family members via the Benenden Health App.

  • If clinically appropriate, our GPs can prescribe some medications. Your private prescription can either be collected from a local pharmacy or delivered directly to you the next working day. Prescription costs aren’t covered by your membership or your NHS entitlement.

How to book your GP consultation

Things to know

  • The 24/7 GP Helpline shouldn’t be used for emergencies or urgent conditions.
  • The service isn’t intended to replace your own GP as we don’t have access to your medical records.

Access via the Benenden Health App

Did you know you can quickly make a GP appointment through the app.

Simply choose ‘GP Consultations' then select 'Book an appointment' and follow the instructions.

* From 1 April 2025, the cost of membership will increase from £15.50 to £15.85 per person, per month or £190.20 if paying annually. The cost and benefits of membership are reviewed on a regular basis, and you'll be notified of any change in advance.
