Benenden Health partners with CCU Credit Union to provide private healthcare to employees

The two not-for-profit member organisations partner in values and services for the benefit of CCU Credit Union's paid and volunteer employees.

Affordable healthcare provider Benenden Health has partnered with Belfast-based CCU Credit Union, providing accessible and affordable private healthcare to its employees and volunteers. Employees will have access to services such as 24/7 GP and mental health helplines from the first day of membership

The decision to choose Benenden Health came after a full employee benefits review by CCU Credit Union in early 2024. In addition to providing fundamental health services to its teams, CCU Credit Union is now Northern Ireland’s first credit union to become an accredited living wage employer.

A recent study by Benenden Health showed that 50% of employees say a strong health and wellbeing package would increase their likelihood of joining a business. CCU Credit Union may also benefit from increased employee engagement, productivity, and retention levels, as well as a boost to company culture.

CCU Credit Union's Chief Executive Officer, Terry McCrudden, notes, "Introducing Benenden Health within CCU is part of a programme to enhance the overall employee benefit package, which can only bring positive change to the lives of our employees.
